Poinsettia Care Tips Important! Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your Poinsettias.
Poinsettias are very sensitive to both light and temperature. Make sure that they do not freeze while in the car or at home.
Transporting When transporting you should place them in a warm vehicle, where they cannot topple over. Also DON'T allow your Poinsettias to sit in a parked car. Immediatly after you get home remove the wrapping from around the plant.
In the House When you get home place your Poinsettia in a place that gets a large amount of natural light, but becareful that the plant does NOT get direct sunlight for more than two hours a day. Keep your Poinsettia away from draughts, for example DON'T place it near a door leading outdoors or in front of a heating vent.
If your Poinsettia is wrapped, poke a small hole in the bottom of the wrapping to allow drainage. Put it on a saucer to prevent overflowing water from getting on the floor or on a table.
Make sure the soil always is a little bit moist. DON'T allow the soil to dry out.
